Established
Nelea Beukes identified an important niche in the affordable gemstone jewellery market in August 2020. The atelier, which is based in Pretoria is passionately managed by Nelea for the best quality gemstones and service.
Our Jewellery
The popularity of gemstones has increased enormously in South Africa over the past few years. Drawn from the earth`s natural
treasures, they offer a fascinating world of colour, emotion and
eye-catching vibrancy. Each of our jewels is imbued with a sense of
discovery. Most of our diamonds are sourced directly from alluvial diamond
mines in the Northern Cape, where they are then cut and polished in Gauteng.
Our semi-precious gemstones are also locally sourced from trusted
establishments.
Once the gemstones have been sourced, the designing process
begins. Each piece of jewellery is carefully designed with the specific metal
needed to compliment the chosen stones. This earth`s treasure, once
purchased from Lumaluk Leefstyl, is symbolically a unique piece
of jewellery. Each as unique as the individual who wears it, inspiring a
life-lasting connection between the wearer and their jewels.

Our Ethos
We believe that each jewel should be as unique as the
individuals who wear and enjoy them. That's why we treat our materials with
respect, celebrating their natural characteristics and highlighting their
special qualities, whether these are internal inclusions, or the imperfect
forms of stones in its natural form.
Offering a truly unique experience and service, we value our
products and cherish the friendships that are formed out of a mutual love for
the “unusually special”.
About Nelea Beukes
I am driven
by my passion for the earth’s natural treasures; the magic of little
intricacies and small imperfections that make each stone special and one-of-kind.
Just as we are as individual’s with our own characteristics and imperfections in our
search for preciousness. I seek out the unconventional beauty within and this
fuels my creativity to design each unique jewellery piece.
My inspiration is drawn from both the mysteries of how stones are
formed and the timelessness of each unique jewellery piece. My work is often a
response to my immediate environment, whether a fleeting moment with my family
and dogs or spending long periods of time on our bushveld farm in Botswana. My
eyes are wide open to new discoveries as I love to observe and absorb
my surroundings.
To me, working with such precious materials is a privilege. Each
piece of jewellery should be unique, like each of us, and this is how I like
the jewellery to make people feel.
In 2008 I travelled to China to source gemstones for what was then
only a hobby. In 2012 I then went on to complete my Honours in Animal Science
at the University of Pretoria (Tukkies). In 2013 I completed a short
course in jewellery-making techniques at Novus Jewellery Design Studio in
Pretoria. Since then, my hobby became my business as the gemstone and
diamond world beckoned.
